Dürnstein
Acrylic on Canvas
This view of Dürnstein stayed with me long after I first saw it. From the ruins above, the village and its abbey seem to rise gently out of the river, framed by hills and softened by evening light. I painted it not to capture every detail, but to hold on to the atmosphere — the quiet harmony of red roofs, green slopes, and still water. For me, it carries a sense of calm and closeness, the kind of moment when time feels both fleeting and endless.
