This painting is very personal to me. It shows a quiet moment with my birds, who are no longer with me. I painted it from memory — not just how they looked, but how it felt to be near them. Their movements, their sounds, the way they always filled the room with life.

The open cage in the background and the warm light are about freedom. I wanted to capture the feeling of connection — between me, them, and the small world we shared. Even though they’re gone, this painting holds a part of that time that still feels alive.
