Sagrada

Oil on canvas

I painted the Sagrada Familia after visiting Barcelona and being completely captivated by the light, the shapes, and the energy of the city. The basilica itself is overwhelming in detail, but I wanted to capture it through the way it felt to me — framed by greenery, under a bright, moving sky.

The brushstrokes are loose, letting the colors and shapes breathe, and the small figures at the base hint at life without pulling focus from the building. For me, this painting is about wonder — that feeling of standing somewhere immense and beautiful, and simply taking it all in.
